PARCC Test Prep Literary Analysis Task Mermaids

This is a simulation of the Literary Analysis Section of the PARCC Test. Included are two passages, with a total of 7 (14 total) A/B type questions requiring evidence to support your answer.

2 Writing Prompts similar to practice test published by PARCC is included along with Rubrics for grades 4-6, published and available online from PARCC.
Writing Prompt 1- Address a common theme
Writing Prompt 2- Address/retell from different point of view

This is designed to be used to show students the type of items that they will be asked on the PARCC test including incorporating elements of both passages into an essay. Answer key is included with answer descriptions.
