What educators are saying

We ALL had a blast with this lab. The resource had just enough information and structure to give what we were doing a clear purpose. Owl pellets are fascinating, and we will use this resource again next year!

Description

This owl pellet and digestive system unit study includes:

  • an illustration of owl anatomy that can be colored in as they read about each organ
  • 2 pages describing owl pellets and the organs involved in the digestive process
  • an owl pellet bone recognition chart
  • a lab/observation sheet
  • a black and white illustration of a barn owl that can be used as a coloring page or a place to take notes

I am so pleased to be able to create and share this resource with you. When I studied owls with my daughter, I found it so difficult to find clear, quality pictures of owls and their digestive system. So I created my own! It took a lot of time to gather the information and draw these pictures so, if you appreciate what I do, please do not share these beyond your household. Thanks so much! Enjoy!

If you are just interested in just the Owl Pellet Bone Chart, you can find it here:
