Description
This is a Google Slides product with a total of 365 slides. There are 200 actual warm-ups plus answer slides where applicable, and they are not your traditional, curriculum-aligned warm-ups. I figure since I have my students for 80 minutes, I want to start them out with something that gets them thinking but isn't as predictable and boring as a recap of yesterday's lesson or some prerequisite skills or whatever my principal would rather I do (hehehe.)
So here's what's included. For starters, this is probably best suited for 6th through 10th grades (I teach 9th.) These are all the warm-ups that I have really liked over the past two years all put into one slideshow so that it's easy to simply open it up and throw a warm-up on the Smart Board or other technology in the classroom. If the slide requires an answer, the very next slide after the warm-up has the answer. The slideshow itself is broken down into 7 parts. Part 1 is Riddles (there are 41 of them,) Part 2 is Brainteasers (46,) Part 3 is Math Puzzles (13,) Part 4 is Basic Math Warm-ups with common skills like fractions, exponents, or real world math applications (there are 16 of them,) Part 5 is Rebus Puzzles (36,) Part 6 is Words Inside Words (for instance, find 10 words inside the word "Equation; there are 14 of those,) and Part 7 is Fermi Questions which are GREAT for competing against your students with ridiculous questions where you actually try to find a mathematics answer (there are 34 of them.)
