Before introducing students to William Shakespeare’s Othello, allow them to research the Elizabethan era and find out how life was in the mid-1500’s!

Students will access a website to locate answers to basic questions regarding women’s status, the life of a soldier, and even racist views of foreigners.

The duration of the Web Quest activity is a 90 minute class period.

The following class period answers can be discussed via a whole class discussion.

Students will then be introduced to Othello, a Shakespearean tragedy.

The 15 slide PowerPoint also includes an Anticipation Guide.

My students always enjoy these as they are able to explain their opinions regarding whether or not they disagree or agree!

~~***An answer key for the Web Quest is included***~~

This product is also included in William Shakespeare’s Othello Common Core Aligned Curriculum Unit. To purchase for $17.99 CLICK HERE!
