What educators are saying

This resource has been a life savor! My students are loving the activities provided and it makes my brain happy knowing I don't have to put all of this together.
Loved this easy-to-use resource! Print and Go! Students of all abilities were able to engage with it! I especially loved its correlation to the AKS!

    Description

The 3-part drill is an important component of an Orton Gillingham lesson, and these phonogram cards are a fantastic resource for tying in the visual and auditory components making an Orton Gillingham lesson multisensory as students look at each card while simultaneously saying the name of the phonogram(s), the keyword picture, and the sound it makes (Ex: ch-cheese-/ch/).

This bundle comes in 4 sizes:

    POSTER: 8.5" x 11" paper

    LARGE: Cards are 5.5” x 8.5” and print 2 to a page.

    MEDIUM: Cards are 3.5” x 5” and print 4 to a page.

    SMALL: Cards are 2.5” x 4” and print 8 to a page.

This product includes three additional resources

(Each of these resources comes in all three sizes: large, medium, and small)

    1. 4 sets of 120 Phonogram Cards:

    • Set 1- color images with white backgrounds: only keyword picture that coordinates with its phonogram is in full color.
    • Set 2- color images with color backgrounds: all keyword pictures are in full color; consonants are on a turquoise background, vowels are on a pink background, and glued sounds are on a mustard yellow background
    • Set 3- black and white images with white backgrounds: organized into three separate files (consonants, vowels, glued sounds). Each file can be printed using colored cardstock (ideally a similar colored cardstock as the background color on the color phonogram cards

Each of the above sets also comes with a file of single-sided and double-sided phonogram cards. When the double-sided cards are printed (by setting printer to print on both sides of the paper), they will have the phonogram and keyword picture on the front side and just the phonogram on the back side; the single-sided cards only have the phonogram and keyword picture on the one side.

    2. Prefix and Suffix Cards: 21 total cards (contains the most common prefixes and suffixes used in words at this level)

NOTE: prefix/suffix cards come in large, medium, and small size (poster size not included)

    • · Suffix cards include: en; -es; -est; -er; -ed as /ed/; -ed as /t/; ed as /d/; review ed as /d/, /t/, & /ed/; -ing; -ly; -ness; -ment; -ful; -s; -tion
    • · Prefix cards include: un-, re-, mis-, dis-, in-, pre-

All prefix/suffix cards come with the following color options: color images with color backgrounds; color images with white backgrounds; black and white images with white backgrounds

Each of the 3 color options also comes with a file of single-sided and double-sided cards.

    3. At-a-Glance Charts:

    • Alphabet-At-a-Glance: a 1-page quick reference guide containing all of the alphabet phonograms, their keyword pictures, and pronunciation guide for each phonogram
    • Phonograms-At-a-Glance: a 1-page quick reference guide containing the rest of the phonograms, their keyword pictures, and pronunciation guides for each phonogram

Both charts come in 3 color options: color images with color backgrounds; color images with white backgrounds; black and white images with white backgrounds

The color phonogram cards are organized in the same order as each phonogram is introduced in the Multisensory Classroom Scope and Sequence HERE.
