What educators are saying

This was a challenging activity for my students, but kept them engaged with their group members trying to crack the code and earn their prize! Thank you!
Very engaging resource. Put my students into random groups and they loved the challenge. Might be a bit challenging for a few students depending on the level, but working in groups allowed them to complete the task together. Thanks for creating this!

Description

Students will have to use what they know about operations on rational numbers and orders of operations to solve 8 problems. These questions are modeled after the New York State 7th Grade Exam, so it's meant to be a challenge! Students will have to organize their answers on strips to help them get a code at the end of the assignment. This is an engaging activity that is great to use at the end of a unit for a class review or for students who need an extra challenge after finishing work early!

This activity has been optimized for Easel!
