What educators are saying

My students love this resource! It is such a great way to make learning and practice fun. Easy to use. Highly recommend.
I have a very high group of fourth grade math students and this was a fun and engaging way to practice PEMDAS.

    Description

Are you looking for digital, self-checking order of operations activities for your 5th and 6th grade students? This interactive resource opens in Google Sheets, and each sheet includes 16 expressions for students to evaluate. Differentiation is a breeze with this bundle since 3 of the activities do not include exponents and 3 of them do include exponents. Since the expressions include all four operations as well as parentheses and brackets, your students will become adept at solving problems with order of operations,

This works well as math stations, centers, rotations, homework, or as an order of operations challenge activity for your early and fast finishers! It is perfect for either face to face learning or digital learning.

How does the self-checking aspect work?

When students type in their answers, the self-checking feature will cause one of two things to happen:

    1. A correct answer will turn the answer box green. Additionally, part of the mystery picture will be revealed!
    2. An incorrect answer will turn the box red and no part of the mystery picture will be revealed. This is a reminder to students to try evaluating the expression again.

    Included in this product:

    • 3 Mystery Picture Google sheets with 16 expressions without exponents to evaluate
    • 3 Mystery Picture Google sheets with 16 expressions with exponents to evaluate
    • Answer keys for each activity
    • A PDF explaining how to assign this activity in Google Classroom and Canvas.
