Description
Hear All About It! Speaking and Listening Activities for Primary Kids is a packet of activities for students to practice both speaking and listening skills through mini oral presentations.
The presentations are mini oral reports that allow children to practice speaking in front of their peers and practice listening skills. The students also practice asking questions and responding in complete sentences.
These are short, structured reports. Each presentation {including questions and answers} should be about 2 to 3 minutes long.
The packet includes directions, listening and speaking posters, and printables with 50 topics for presentations and one topic of choice presentation. The topic printables are used for the pictures that students will use for their oral reports.
The 50 topics include: animals, apples, April, art, August, butterfly, community helpers, current event, December, dental health, Earth Day, fall, family, farm, February, fire safety, five senses, health, insects, January, July, June, maps, March, math, May, November, nutrition, ocean, October, pets, plants, presidents, pumpkins, rainforest, school safety, science, sea creatures, seasons, September, spiders, sports, spring, summer, technology, transportation, vegetables, weather, winter, and zoo.
Students can work on these individually, with a partner, or work together as a group to present longer oral reports.
