What educators are saying

This was fantastic! I loved using it with my students and it truly gave me a solid insight into their writing skills. I used it as an assessment but walked them through the prep part. It was fantastic!

Description

This is a complete opinion writing performance task on zoos or aquariums for grades 2 or 3. You just have to print, copy, and pass it out! It has clear directions, a teaching page with definitions and pictures, 2 articles, 2 check-off pages for editing and proofreading, and a 4-point rubric. It is a great practice for the CAASPP SBAC STAAR or any standardized assessment. The task gives information on zoos and aquariums and students form an opinion on which one they would rather visit. All articles are age-appropriate and do not include any politics or heavy issues related to zoos or aquariums. If you would like an editable version, please contact me with what you want changed and I will either try to make the adjustment or share an editable version with you.
