Opinion Writing

Are you having difficulty teaching students how to write their opinions?Opinion writing is very tricky to teach. Introduce your students to opinion writing with this unit.

In this unit you will find, an anchor chart for what is an opinion and word wall words. Guided practice for clearly stating an opinion on a topic. Twelve Opinion writing prompts with a circle map for generating ideas, graphic organizers for clearly writing a topic sentence, opinions, and conclusion. In addition, you will find coordinating stationery for each topic.

The various topics range from choosing between two, giving an opinion about a topic, and stating favorites.
