Description

This small unit of work is a minimum 3 hours of creative fun that inspire, challenge and boost students self confidence in drawing. No matter if you are an art specialist or not this power point will have you look like an expert and engage the students.

Included in this zipped file is:
lesson plans
tonal study starter
perspecive intro powerpoint
how to draw one point perspective
student examples
marking scheme print out

Please note the PowerPoint presentation is made of slides with A LOT of animations in them. The text will appear jumbled and overlapped when viewed in home screen, however when slideshow is played everything works correctly.

This is a power point that enables all students to draw in one point perspective. There are several slides holding numerous animations to enable a step by step proceedure for your students to easily follow along with.
Lesson 1 will teach students the basic rules of 1 point perspective while they copy line for line the first two buildings.
It then encourages students to use the rules they have just learnt to continue drawing the rest of their cityscape creatively in 1 point perspective.
Lesson 2 focuses on creatively adding details and structural elements into the students building on a step by step basis.
Lesson 3 focuses on shading the buildings.

I use this in my lessons and have found this to be good for students with low self esteem and basic skills as it shows them how to start the drawing. It was also really good for the gifted and talented students as they are encouraged to creatively and independently explore details using perspective rules.
