Ohio Government - The Ohio Constitution & Legislative Branch

This set of files includes a great overview of the Ohio Constitution of 1851 and of the Legislative Branch (The General Assembly). The state of Ohio recently passed a law requiring teachers of American Government to include covering the Constitution of Ohio, and this can help you do that!

I have always been frustrated with the general way that textbooks cover state and local governments, so I decided to replace that chapter with this information. I pulled a lot of info from the official government websites that I wanted to teach about. It's a great way to teach what's actually in place for this state more accurately and completely than you could with a national textbook.
