October's Planning Kit

October is such a fun month.  The weather is changing, so are the leaves.  Pumpkins are everywhere, including in Miss Nancy's Classroom.  This month we will be learning about pumpkin in Science, shapes in Math along with adding and subtraction, feelings in Social Studies, and Reading about pumpkins in ELA (English Language Arts).  Every Friday is a fun project or two.  There are four weeks of educational fun in store for October.  

October's Planning Kit includes a calendar of Daily Activities, a Booklist, and a Supply List.  The daily plans will be separate.  The Planning Kit is provided to help you plan and get the necessary supplies.  Feel free to follow the plans exactly or mix it up.  Just note that I will be posting the Daily Plans in the order they are on the calendar.   The theme is Pumpkin. Content includes Science -- Pumpkins; Math -- Shapes, Adding and Subtracting; ELA -- Retell, Characters, Series of Events, and Begining, Middle and End; Social Studies-- Feelings; Crafts. Lesson plans are separate.
