Description

October Extension Menu—Extension menus provide opportunities to extend learning. They are a great extension for when students are finished with their regular class work by providing engaging activities that support learning. Extension menus have proved highly successful with Gifted Students. The Extension Menu guides students in their learning while providing students with choice and the chance to explore various learning styles. This menu includes two activities for each of the following headings: Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Retell, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Research. The menu also includes an additional page that provides a learning contract for students as they work on their choice of activities.

The Common Core standards that are attached are for 3rd grade. However, many of these activities apply across several grade levels.

If you are interested in a whole year of my extension menus, they can be purchased as a complete set. Please see my store for the “Complete Set of Common Core Extension Menus” (8 in all) at a discounted bulk price.
