Ocean Commotion Rhythm Manipulatives

Ocean Commotion is a technology-free, fun and interactive take on Kodaly rhythm syllables. Each note and rest value has been assigned a fun ocean-themed word with the same number of syllables and a picture to match. Young students (3-6) love the theme, as well as the ability to physically interact with the rhythms. A series of ideas to get any size group of kids up and moving while learning their rhythms is included. The transition to reading rhythms in standard notation is a breeze after teaching these syllables.
