Description

This activity works well for online or telehealth sessions as well as in person on your computer or smart board in the classroom.

Work on many different areas in one activity that is great for in person or online for distance learning! Have the student use a deck of cards. Have them put all the cards face down in a pile or all over the floor. Have a student pick a card at random and then show the teacher/other peers which card was pulled. This will determine the number of reps for each exercise and what exercise students will be doing. This PowerPoint includes visuals, visual models, with click-able links for ease of presentation during an online session (or in-person if you are using your computer/projector screen). Each suit has a clickable icon that will take you straight to a quick moving video model of the exercise to show student the expectations and then click the green arrow to go back to full page. Click the yellow arrow in the top right corner to shuffle between a few different sets of exercises (12 exercises included.) There is also an option to have just the suits showing to have students work on working memory but easy to click back for reference if they need a quick hint. When finished, simply click the light grey X circle in the top left to go to the all done slide. This activity has students flipping cards, moving, and matching icons to work on a variety of occupational therapy skills! :)

*Clickable links only work when PowerPoint is in PRESENTATION MODE*

At the end of the PowerPoint are some fine motor cutting pintables which are great for in person sessions to allow the student to help set-up the activity and increase motivation!
