    Description

Your ELL and/or Special Ed. students will be able to compare and contrast, discuss literary elements such as irony, improve vocabulary and their knowledge of two American holidays -Thanksgiving and Christmas after having read five famous American short stories by O.Henry AKA William Sydney Porter.

This file includes ten items left in Power point and/or word for you to edit freely to meet the needs of your beginner to low intermediate ELLs. In addition to the items linked below I have included a six page bonus file worksheet for students to complete while reading New York Stories: Soapy's Choice, A Walk in Amnesia, Tildy's Moment and The Christmas Presents (AKA The Gift of the Magi)

Please note that only Two Thanksgiving Day Gentlemen has an audio text. Students will need their own printed version of these short stories - preferably abridged.

See links for full descriptions and previews for each product included in this bundle.

I hope this product is useful to you and your students. Please view my other products and my Terms of Use located at this link:
