This lesson discusses common "Food Myths" of supposed "Healthy Foods." Also covered; foods that are actually healthy foods that you may not be aware of. Assessment and answer key, and two additional activities. Clip art, printables, answer key, No prep needed. Distance learning appropriate.

Learning outcomes:

Students will understand that foods labeled gluten free, diet and organic are not necessarily healthy

Students will recognize why Juice is not a healthy drink for kids

Students will learn why cereal is not necessarily a great way to start your day

Students will be able to understand why not all "whole wheat" breads are healthy

Students will perceive why frozen yogurt is not a healthy dessert option

Students will observe and understand why veggie chips are not healthier than potato chips

Students will be able to identify A list of seven healthy foods that may surprise them.
