    Description

Build phonological awareness with this engaging bundle of nursery rhymes and printables. There are 26 nursery rhymes - one for each letter of the alphabet! Your students will love using the colorful posters to read and sing each nursery rhyme. They are perfect to use in large group, small group or literacy centers. Then, they will illustrate the nursery rhyme / poem in their printable book. These simple pages include the nursery rhyme at the top and a space for an illustration at the bottom. Have the children circle or highlight words that begin with the focus letter or sight words.

Reciting Nursery Rhymes daily will encourage speech and language development, reading comprehension, memory, and creativity. Laminate the posters and hang them in the classroom for your students to sing and read again and again!

Using the Nursery Rhyme book each week gives young children the opportunity to develop their phonemic awareness skills, speech and vocabulary development, reading comprehension, memory skills and enhances their creativity. Your students will look forward to each new Nursery Rhyme with excitement and look back at previous pages with pride! The completed book makes a great kindergarten keepsake.

I use this set all year long in my classroom! After the children color their book cover, I laminate it, double-side the letter pages, and bind them into a book. This makes a great kindergarten keepsake too! This also includes a certificate when the book is completed!

I place the charts on the bulletin board while we are learning the poem/rhyme. When finished, I place them in a poetry center for the children to continue practicing.

    Here's what teachers are saying:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I absolutely love this resource! I followed the suggestion of one of the fellow commenters, and we are focusing on one nursery rhyme a week. My students are all beginner level English learners, so these nursery rhymes are helping them gain vocabulary, learning letter sounds, learning rhymes and rhythms, and so much more!! Thank you so much for creating this resource!" Tiffany H.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Love, love, love this product! Made my students each their own poem book. On Mondays, we illustrate our poem. Tuesdays we highlight the letter we are studying. Wednesdays we underline the entire word that includes the letter we are studying. Thursdays we circle sight words. Fridays we partner read the poem. My students love their poem books. As an added bonus, they get to take them home at the end of the year and read them to others! Thank you!" Ramona A.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "My students enjoy reading Nursery Rhymes in whole group time. So many reading readiness skills that can be learned through Nursery Rhymes." Roxane W.
