Description

This fun project is something I do at the end of the school year. After doing a Mystery Genre study, I culminate with this Nursery Rhyme Mystery.

The gist: Students choose a nursery rhyme and write a mystery that fills in the holes, since most nursery rhymes leave some questions unanswered. It blends narrative writing with literature standards and ends with a final story your students will be begging to share.

This product contains EVERYTHING you need to carry out this project in your classroom - even some teacher tips with sample lessons that I have found to be successful!

While I have done this with my second grade, it could be adapted for 3rd or 4th grades too.
