This "Number of the Day" number talk resource is the perfect maths warm up that will help your students develop a solid understanding of, and confidence working with numbers 1 to 100!
100 animated digital slides are included that model the many different ways that numbers can be represented such as
* numbers in words
* numbers on a number line
* tallies
* ten frames
* place value (MAB blocks)
* expanded notation
This resources is a great way to continuously practise and review the following Australian Curriculum maths outcomes:
(ACMNA012) Develop confidence with number sequences to and from 100 by ones from any starting point. Skip count by twos, fives and tens starting from zero
(ACMNA013) Recognise, model, read, write and order numbers to at least 100. Locate these numbers on a number line.
(ACMNA014) Count collections to 100 by partitioning numbers using place value.
A full page (A4) or half page (A5) sheet is included for students to complete each day, and then follow along with the animated PowerPoint slides to self check their work. You may wish to do numbers in sequence (1 - 100) or in completely random order! You can choose to included as many or as few pages in your student booklet.
