Description

Thank you for your interest in my work. My wish is that it helps you to become an even better teacher---with more time for yourself---time that you would have otherwise spent creating your own ways to help students report on their learning.

This note-taking device is a proven winner when it comes to student accountability for their listening comprehension. This organizer was created to go with my Now Hear This! Listening Lab curriculum. Please look under my name on the TpT website for the Listening Labs. You could generalize this note-taker to help students stay engaged with any audio, video, or spoken presentation in your classroom.

Here is the description of my Listening Lab Curriculum, also listed on the TpT site:
This select, leveled list of audio and video recordings of current events and other topics helps English Language Learners and other students to build stamina for listening and increase their comprehension of spoken material. These topics can easily grow into further learning opportunities via summaries, analyses, vocabulary acquisition, and debriefing activities through oral and writing practice in the classroom the following day. Topics range from news to science, from the arts to diverse cultures---all previewed by a teacher for appropriateness. Students access the links on Google Docs and can listen on a computer in a lab setting, or on their individual Smartphones. These can easily turn into all-class listening sessions as well. If you would like a Listening Lab Notes organizer for student note-taking that I've prepared, and has been used successfully in the classroom, look for me on the TpT website.
