Description
This craftivity bundle consists of four engaging activities perfect for November. Students begin each activity by completing a worksheet. Then, they use the answers from their worksheet as they assemble the craftivity. These print-and-go activities can be used to decorate a student-centered bulletin board or school hallway display for November!
Your students will review these skills as they complete these activities:
- The Thanksgiving turkey activity focuses on the skill of matching the main idea sentence to its supporting detail sentences! Students match 4 supporting detail sentences (written on feathers) to each main idea sentence (written on the body of a turkey).
- The scarecrow/pumpkin activity requires students to differentiate between facts and opinions. Students read statements written on 12 pumpkins and sort the facts and opinions. All of the statements are related to fall.
- The autumn sentence mobile activity focuses on synonyms. Each leaf is labeled with a word. Students must color and cut out each leaf, and then turn it over and label the other side of the leaf with a synonym. Then, they gather their leaves and assemble the synonym sentence mobile.
- The book report activity focuses on nonfiction. After reading a nonfiction book (or article), students follow the directions stating what to write in each of the ten acorns. The acorns contain prompts related to main idea, summarizing, important facts, fun facts, text features, a rating, and a recommendation.
