What educators are saying

A great thematic set of lessons to use in November. I did not use all of them this year but hope to incorporate another one or two next year.
My students really liked this resource. It was easy to use and didn't require much prep time. My students were able to practice their skills and have fun while doing so.

Feedback from teachers:

Veterans Day Activity:

  • I needed a quick text to go over Veterans day, and this did exactly that. It even made my students curious to do some of their own independent research....especially about the tomb. They thought that was really interesting.
  • My students found this very interesting, and it allowed them to learn more about Veteran's Day and what it means to them.

Thanksgiving STEM Activity:

  • My students enjoyed this project as an extension project during our benchmark testing. It was the perfect amount of fun, STEM, and cooperative learning. Many of them thought their original designs would work but were surprised to find that they all had to make modifications or start over entirely. It was a good learning experience. I would say 6th graders is about the max age, they originally thought it was cheesy, but once they got into constructing the traps, they had a LOT of fun!
  • My students had a lot of fun designing a Way to save Tom turkey. My students worked together and weren't afraid to try a design and then change or modify it if needed. Perfect project for the day before break.

Vaping Activity:

  • My students were very interested in vaping. They have seen older siblings and cousins who vape. This was a great project to use during Red Ribbon Week to raise awareness and educate students about the harmful effects of vaping.
  • Even though I had to tweak it to fit the needs of my students, I liked it because some of my students have older siblings, and they are vaping. So I wanted to give them information on the topic, but also, it was pretty easy to use, and the graphics were great.

November Science Activities:

  • My students love all of your Science Activity kits! This one fits perfectly into Autumn changing Science!
  • This is a thorough and engaging resource. My students enjoyed it! Thank you.
