What educators are saying

Thanks for adding reading to this science activity. With a wee bit of scaffolding, my ELLs with learning disabilities did well with this. Thank you!
This is a great activity to get your students to read in the classroom. They must read the material in order to find the correct answers. I used this as some extra review over this topic and it worked great!

Description

This is the sixth of a series of nonfiction science articles I am currently writing. This resource was designed for use in an upper elementary classroom, mainly grades 4-6. The new science standards, as well as language arts common core, require a large amount of science nonfiction reading. Meet the standards with an article your students can understand. Questions and answer key provided. This is a print and go lesson. Great to use with a sub! Great for enrichment!

This is Article 6: Cell Theory. This article introduces the five characteristics of living things, defines a cell, discusses Robert Hooke and how he named cells, discusses Schleiden's, Schwann's, and Virchow's contributions to cell theory, and introduces the term cytology. Interactive question included. Answer key included.

Follow me for updates when I post the rest! Once completed, a bundle will be compiled.

Enjoy!
