Informational Readers

Are you gearing up to do a non-fiction unit of study with your students this spring/summer?
If so, and you are planning on having your students learn and read about sea/ocean animals, this 'sea-tastic' pack is sure to engage your young readers and foster independence!

This set of readers was developed to be used in my kindergarten class because I could not find age appropriate non-fiction readers for my students! I want to encourage independent reading, focus on non-fiction, learn about ocean and sea animals and have my students feel like confident and independent readers and information gathers! After searching long and hard with no luck, this set was developed! I hope it helps you in your search!

Please download the preview to see 1 page from each of the readers!
And be sure to get my Non-Fiction Clown Fish Reader FREEBIE to add to your set and/or see how my readers work!

These readers work great as a compliment to research and gathering information, as well!

This Pack Includes:

The new Common Core Standards require that students read 50% Non-fiction text, but text at lower levels is very hard to come by! I plan on making more non-fiction readers in the future, so please consider following me to receive notification of future uploads!
