How does an escape room work?

Each escape room is housed in a Google Slide Show designed to be manipulated by students. Students solve five clues. Each clue helps them eliminate one of the six suspects and helps them solve the mystery.

    Clues include:

✏️Clue 1: drag and drop analogies
    ✏️Clue 2: Logic Puzzle
✏️Clue 3: Drag and drop analogies
    ✏️Clue 4: A Word Ladder
✏️Clue 5: A surprising clue (math problems or a cipher of some sort)

Your students will practice using logical reasoning to persevere in solving problems. Build classroom community by playing this game in pairs. This game works great as a whole-class activity, or for Early Finishers and Enrichment. I often guide my younger students through these activities (checking the clues together one at a time) and let my older students work in pairs to figure out the mystery. I include some unique vocabulary words, so I encourage students to look these up in the dictionary!

This challenge is easy to assign with a few clicks. Just save and assign through Google Classroom, making a copy for each student, or if you don't have Google Classroom, share the link so students can create their own copy.
*Students need a Google Account for this activity.

I want to make sure you LOVE this product, so download this free Sample Escape Room to try out this activity.
