    Each recipe is broken into simple steps, includes real photos of each step, stages of preparation, in-depth teacher instructions, and are all no-bake for all learners to access cooking!

    Visual recipes make it easy to teach and practice cooking skills in the classroom and at home. Plus, this cooking activity can be a good one to incorporate into fun mealtime routines!

    Visual recipes like these are a helpful tool in breaking down a recipe step-by-step. We include visuals of ingredients and tools needed to complete a recipe.

    Important Notes:

    • We add the upcoming month's recipes at least 2 weeks before the start of the month.

    EACH RECIPE INCLUDES

    Teacher Instructions: Big picture overview of the recipe for teachers to read through before prepping for the visual recipe. We give ideas for prep ahead of time, a list of substitutions if needed, and key tasks/skills to keep an eye out for while making the recipe with students.

    Ingredients + Tools: One page visual of ingredients and tools needed to complete the recipe. Also included: length of time to make, servings, and amounts needed for ingredients.

    Shopping List: One-page visual shopping list of all of the ingredients and amounts needed with Need/Have columns.

    Visual Recipe: Visuals of step-by-step directions to create the recipe - including visuals of measuring cups & spoons. We provide a walkthrough of the recipe that makes it easier to preview and refer to during cooking.

    Recipe Review Sheet: After it's all said and done, it's always nice to reflect and document how things went. Learners can make adjustments to the recipe, take note of what they learned, make notes for next time, and rate and review the recipe for themselves.
