Description

Before reading Elie Wiesel’s Night, your students should have a refresher on the Holocaust and Elie Wiesel. This activity is perfect for the teacher that wants to take the back seat to let students do their own organized exploring of history in this student-centered learning activity. Print and digital versions are included.

This interactive activity will guide students to Google Arts & Culture's virtual tour of the United States Holocaust Museum, a museum inspired by Elie Wiesel's desire to honor and memorialize the victims of the Holocaust. Students will complete 8 "stops" on the tour in which they answer checkpoint questions about what they saw. Then, they will complete a one-page webquest about Elie Wiesel's life and impact on the world. Some video links are included for further analysis, but can be omitted for time.

Students will need access to the Internet to complete this activity.
