Description
These 12 Newton's Laws of Motion Discovery stations will allow your students to sort out Newton’s three laws of motion for themselves!
Each station is easy to set up and each one takes about 3 minutes for the students to complete.
Attached are directions for the teacher, including the materials list (all materials are easy-to-come-by things like plastic cups, eggs, marbles, toy cars, washers, etc.). The only thing that you may need to look for ahead of time are two Newton spring scales and one or two fishing bobbers.
Also included are the signs that contain the directions for each station and a student sheet for recording answers to the questions posed at the stations. An answer key is also provided that has answers/explanations for each of the stations.
I use these stations the day after I introduce Newton's Laws and I love listening in on the conversations as the students decide which law is best represented by each station activity.
