Description

New Year’s resolutions and smart goal setting is an important skill that needs to be explicitly taught. The months of January and February is a great time to teach this skill. This resource is comprehensive.

There is a PowerPoint to guide the workshop that takes all the stress out of what to do and when. It is easy to guide students through goal setting!

The students will take an array of self-discovery inventories, use goal setting worksheets to learn about SMART goal setting, , think about the way they learn, prepare an action plan and create a lapbook that keeps track of their goals for the year.

They will understand that the connection between dreams, goals, values, learning skills and planning will help them not just in school but is a valuable life skill that they will use through their life.
