Description

This is a complete easy-to-follow 6 week unit of work to teach the basics of computer networks to younger pupils (aged 9 - 12). It includes an attractive PowerPoint presentation for every lesson including fun activities to teach key skills, an easy to use assessment grid and a comprehensive teacher's guide.

This unit teaches the pupils about how computer networks are constructed. Using practical activities where the pupils “are the network” they learn how data flows around a network and the problems that can occur when parts of the network stop working. They also learn about the internet, how to search for information and teaches them how they can tell if a website is unreliable or biased.
