Description

The primary goal for the student is to understand the impacts of the Agricultural Revolution on the development of civilizations and human life. To achieve this goal students will identify the causes of the Agricultural (Neolithic) Revolution and the effects that resulted.  Next the students will examine two effects in closer detail. Then they will demonstrate their learning by composing a paragraph answering the essential question: “How did the events of the Agricultural Revolution impact developments of civilization and human life?”

This product was created using Texas World History standards in mind.  The standards this product is based off of are:

  • 1A--Identify major causes and describe the major effects of the following events from 8000 BC to 500 BC: the development of agriculture and the development of the river valley civilizations. [SS]
  • 2B--Identify the characteristics of civilization. [SS]
  • 17A--Identify important changes in human life caused by the Neolithic Revolution [RS]
  • 24A--Identify the origin and diffusion of major ideas in mathematics, science, and technology that occurred in river valley civilizations [SS]
