What educators are saying

The kids loved it, I loved it, parents loved it! Highly recommend! This produces such a cute and well thought out project.
A fun culminating project for my 5th graders. They completed the project by presenting their posters to the class.

Description

Are you studying Native American nations? Your students will have fun with these research posters..... Kwakiutl & Nez Perce (same poster), Hopi, Pawnee, Seminole, and Inuit. A poster with no nation listed is also available.

In order to fill in the information, you can have kids fill it in while you write the information on the board, sort of like note taking. You could have them research it by using books from the library. If you are using this as a review, you could have the kids look back over notes in their social studies journal in order to fill in the information. Be creative and use it however you would like.

This book includes:

**Cover page for the book

**Close reading passage (this passage is also sold separately in a smaller version for interactive notebooks)

**Teacher questions for discussion when reading the passage

**6 separate pages with themed black line graphics to represent each culture

**Sheet to use with any tribe....I have also included a blank tribe sheet where you can write in the tribes you study. There are no tribe images on this sheet.

On each poster, students will fill in the following:

**Natural resources found

**Uses for natural resources

**Describe their location

**Tell about clothing, houses, and climate

**Area to write other facts

**A US map is on each page for students to mark where the tribes were located

NOTE: For all clip art/illustrations of people in this pack, I commissioned custom artwork to be drawn to represent each Native American Nation. Research was done to help make it look more authentic.

TIP: The pages are made with a white line down the left side, as I made them to copy on the front and then staple in that area. If you need to copy on the front and back, then you may want to just cut off that strip before running through the copy machine.
