Description
This mini-unit focusing on the skill of Capital, Human and Natural Resources is an ideal activity for grades 4-7!
This mini-unit contains clozed notes to help students understand
the basic culture and resources used by the Inuit, Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl), Lakota, Pueblo, and Northeast Woodland Indians. It also helps students to understand the various regions in which these American Indian nations lived.
The sorting activities improve students' ability to identify the three types of Native American resources: capital, natural, and human. These versatile hands-on activities work well for students in 4th through 7th grades and the picture activity helps to facilitate a deeper understanding of the material. Contents are aligned with both the Virginia (USI-3b and 3c) and the Common Core Standards.
