Native American Tribes Research Report Project Native American Heritage Month

This classroom project makes it easy and engaging to teach about major Native American tribes! Perfect for Native American Heritage Month or any time of the year, this no-prep research project contains worksheets in both color and black and white. It can be used as a standalone resource or as a great compliment to other Native American related lessons and units.

This project is designed to honor Native Americans and indigenous communities in a culturally respectful way. Students will research notable Native American tribes from the major Native American cultural regions of the northeast, southeast, plains, plateau, great basin, northwest, California, and the southwest and complete the included worksheet organizer pages. You can assign individual students or small groups one tribe and have them share what they learn, or you can assign all the tribes in a project packet. This project can be completed in the classroom or independently at home!
