Description

This is a fun and engaging activity that gives students practice in counting objects and writing their numbers from 1 to 20. It is a Native American themed Count the Room activity that pairs nicely with the Core Knowledge Native American unit. It includes 2 separate recording sheets. One for numbers 1 - 10 and one for numbers 11 - 20. You can choose one or the other, or copy it front/back and have kiddos find and write all numbers from 1 - 20.

Print, cut, mount, and laminate each card and make a copy of the recording sheet for each of your students. Hang each card around the room for your students to find, count the objects and write their numbers from 11 to 20 on their recording sheet.

Modification:
Rather than having students write the room, turn cards face down on a table, have students choose the top card, count the artifacts &
write the number on their recording sheet.
