What educators are saying

I was struggling teaching Social Studies with 7th grade ELs with the level of texts we received from the district. These were perfectly leveled and clear for students.

Description

Native American Resistance 1790 - 1811: This is a very simple reading guide discussing Native American reaction to American expansionism in the 1790s and early 1800s. Students are introduced to Chief Little Turtle, Handsome Lake, Tenskwatawa and Tecumseh, and how each leader reacted to the unstoppable flood of American immigrants. Reading briefly describes the Battle of Fallen Timbers and the Battle of Tippecanoe. Again, this is a very simple reading and worksheet.

This can be used in class or as homework as it’s a completely stand alone assignment. This is also perfect for substitute teacher plans, and of course, a key is included.

** Includes Google Apps version of worksheet for distance learning
