What educators are saying

I used this to have students learn more about Native American tribes. Every student picked a tribe so there were no repeats. Students had fun learning about the tribes. I liked the copy of the slides so it was easy for students to know what needed to be included.
My students love this project - I have used it for several years now, and students continue to enjoy the independent work and free choice aspect!

Description

This Native American Research Project is a great way to help your students learn about and celebrate Native American culture, especially since many history textbooks do not spend enough time covering the rich history of native populations in the United States. In this Native American project for Google Drive, students will select a tribe they would like to learn more about, conduct research, and create a Google Slideshow that addresses different elements of culture, such as geography, religion, art, politics, economy, society, and present day issues.

This Native American Research Project includes the following files:

  • Teacher Guide (PDF)
  • Assignment Sheet (PDF + Editable Google Doc)
  • 2 Slideshow Templates (Editable Google Slideshows)
  • Grading Checklist (PDF + Editable Google Doc)

This Native American Research Project is for Google Drive, which means that the resources will go directly to your Google Drive account, and the materials will be very easy to edit (if desired) and share with your students.
