    Description

    Resources for teachers and students to use, to accompany a unit on Native American study. Student will enjoy expressing their own creativity with the many optional choices in this Native American Inspired geometric shapes and pattern, and animal imagery resource bundle. Students will learn how Native Americans used geometric shapes in their art, and finish the designs provided, inspired by shapes in Native American art. These handouts work nicely as a culminating activity after a unit on Native American history. Mix and match the handouts to create unique lessons for all students and abilities. Color or paint designs in patterns inspired by Native American art, using the provided student handout. Embellished with real feathers or use the printed handout. Add raffia or yarn for a bit of texture! Use the resources provided to adapt the lesson to fit your state curriculum standards. Endless design possibilities!

    I use with all of my elementary students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. This can also be used with grade 6. With this bundle the students will have a large number a art design starters to choose from, and endless design possibilities!

    Resources focuses on geometric shapes and animal imagery.
    For more detail see individual lesson descriptions. Note: the basic circle, and stair step starter shield design is included in several of the lessons.
