What educators are saying
Description
This is a fun and easy resource for your students to explore during the month of November. Native American History Month is a wonderful opportunity to not just study the rich history, but also the current contributions to today's culture and society.
We all know how much teachers have on their plate. But we also know how important it is to expand our students knowledge of other cultures around them as well as highlight their own culture! These 20 mini lessons are designed to be a daily independent activity for students to complete on their own. There are four weeks of daily lessons which include the following activities:
Monday = What is NAHM? A look into the Native American culture
Tuesday = Meet an Author and read aloud (with an NAHM author)
Wednesday = Culture videos on: Food, Dancing, Clothing and Basket Weaving
Thursday = Native American Music
Friday = How to Draw - Native American Art
