Description
This resource is a great way to get students working together to research and create a diorama that an in-depth understanding of the indigenous peoples and the landscape they lived off of in the United States before it became a nation. The project requires them to read, speak, listen, write, and use artistic skills to create a community that represents the five geographical regions in the U.S. A rubric is included, and outlines expectations. I have also had students display and present their finished products to our school community/staff, which adds an element of purpose and quality to the dioramas. They make great classroom or library displays as well. We keep ours displayed all year!
