    Description

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Distance Learning

This Native American Booklet Bundle is a worksheet based resource and must be printed out.

You choose which booklets you will print out and send to students or use at home.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are nine individual Native American booklets included in this bundle! There is so much information and many meaningful activities packed into these booklets! The booklets included are Arctic (Inuit), Northwest Coastal (generic), Northwest Plateau (Nez Perce), Southwest Hopi, Southwest Navajo, Great Plains (Generic), Southeast (Seminole), Southeast (Cherokee), and Northeast Woodland (Iroquois).

The booklets have labels for the topics of the reading passages. The booklets have topics that include location, shelter, food, clothing, weapons and tools, natural resources, transportation, art/crafts, ceremonies/beliefs, and present-day information. All booklets are individualized. This means there may be other labeled reading topics, such as Buffalo for the Great Plains booklet, or Sequoyah for the Cherokee booklet.

All booklets have glossaries, review questions, writing activities, graphic organizers, and drawing activities. There is also a page included in every booklet with actual photo images so students can identify real life objects to the ones they read about.

Each booklet has a checklist for making sure every activity is completed. Once the booklet is complete, it will make an excellent resource for reviewing and preparing for classroom and state standardized assessments. Answer Keys are included where applicable.

There is no right or wrong way to use these booklets. They can be used with a whole class, a small group, with a partner, individually, or any variation of these uses. The activities can be also be completed while the teacher works with other students during class. The booklets work well in Social Studies centers or stations.

NOTE: There is one activity (Venn Diagram) in the Navajo booklet that can be more interesting if research is done, or the Hopi booklet is used along with it.
