Very useful tool to use during Hispanic Heritage--students found it helpful to learn more about this month.

Description

Updated! This is the most popular resource on my store. I have updated this packet on 9/6/2019 with extended questions, a new True/False section, an answer key, and fixed the formatting errors. Please update your files!

This is a sub plan that can be used anytime during National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15). It is also a good emergency substitute plan to keep handy. It includes three articles related to Hispanic Heritage month, how other countries celebrate their independence day, and notable Hispanic-Americans. Comprehension questions following each article. Also included is a crossword puzzle featuring some of the terms from the articles.

You may also use this as a starter for your Hispanic Heritage mini-unit. After they read these articles and answer questions, they can do research on famous Hispanic-Americans and present to the class. All content is presented in English.
