What educators are saying

The visuals were super helpful for my students who have difficulty brainstorming ideas. The different prompts are nice because they give students different options based on their interests.
Love this resource! I had no idea how to introduce narrative writing in a fun and engaging way until I discovered this. I used this twice and plan on using it every week to help my students master narrative writing :)

Description

Are you looking for engaging narrative writing practice activities? These photograph narrative prompts and graphic organizers allow students to use their creativity! This product is a set of interactive writing activities that allow students to create their own storyline and write!

How it works:

  • They will cut and paste the beginning, middle, and ending pictures in any order they choose.
  • Draft the beginning, middle, and end for a pre-write.
  • Then expand with their writing with writing pages!

Two sets of pictures come with each topic. One set is for their graphic organizer pre-write pages. The other set of tiny pictures is to glue to the top of the final writing piece. This is to help them keep on topic and to help with display. It also comes with a 0-3 rubric for teacher grading!

12 Narrative Writing Topics/Prompts:

Differentiation Ideas:

Intermediate Tips- Use the beginning, middle, and end to write a paragraph about each picture, or create bulleted list ideas for the beginning, middle, and end. Then, use list to expand and strengthen sentences. Given intermediate paper.
