Description

"The Polygon Polka" is a two and a half minute, karaoke style music video, that students can sing along with to help learn the names of polygons. Loosely based on the tune "100 Bottles of Beer On the Wall," it starts with decagons and counts down to triangles.

Also included are a few activities geared toward different grade levels. The polygon characters from the video are available to print out and color. A "Songfacts" sheet is included, as well as two "polygon characteristic" tables for both younger and older students.

The video integrates music, math, reading, and animation. You can use it as daily practice, part of a lesson, polygon introduction, PE warmup, clean-up song, or just for fun.

The video can be played on an interactive whiteboard, computer monitor, iPod, iPad, etc.

The preview above is at a lower quality than the actual video due to size requirements.

The mp4 video and 11 page pdf file will download in a zipped folder.

Special note: Windows Media Player needs a free codec pack installed to play mp4 files. I highly recommend the free VLC media player.
