NO PREP Virtual Field Trip to the Smithsonian

This NO PREP virtual field trip provides an hour of escape from the daily classroom routine. While many field trips are being cancelled due to COVID - 19, virtual field trips are on the rise. While fun, they take a lot of time to make. So why not take advantage of this fully planned resource.

Students will be able to complete an ice breaker activity with the teacher and their fellow classmates. After the ice breaker, students will learn some of the difficult vocabulary associated with museums (there is an accompanying video). Once they have gotten the museum mini - lesson, they will have the opportunity to explore the museum and answer a series of questions. All questions can be answered by exploring and looking through the museum. At the end of the field trip there is a slide where students can list 3 things that they have learned while on the "field trip."
