Research and Learn about FASCHING in Germany!

Carnival in Germany, known as "Karneval," "Fasching," or "Fastnacht," is a vibrant and exuberant celebration deeply embedded in the country's cultural fabric. Spanning various regions, the festivities are characterized by colorful parades, elaborate costumes, and lively street parties.

This resource is a WebQuest in which students research and report on the following:

• The history of carnival
• When does carnival season starts?
• Cologne Carnival
• Carnival Traditions
• Why wear costumes and masks?
• What to eat at carnival?
• The fifth Season of the Year

There are a number of questions for students to research and report on in each category. Take a look at the thumbnails and the preview to get a good idea of what the questions and categories involve.
