NGSS Checklist Middle School 6-8 DIGITAL

The NGSS checklist dives into the performance expectations science standards you've taught and when you've taught them for middle school science! Simply check the box when you’ve taught the standard and type in the date beneath the checkbox. The boxes are there to give you an at-a-glance view as to which standards have been covered (and how many times they've been taught). 

Included with each standard are the clarifying statements and assessment boundaries, as well as the CCSS connections to ELA and Math. This checklist also offers a place for you to reflect on each NGSS performance expectation standard and for the domain as a whole.

NGSS Standard Based Gradebook for Middle School - DIGITAL

This digital NGSS Gradebook for Middle School recording sheet is the perfect way to help you stay organized and visually see your students’ progress through the NGSS standards! This Google Sheets standards based grade book has been created in Google Sheets and is completely editable to suit your needs! Record all of your standard grades digitally - no printing required! 

⭐ All standards are based on the Middle School Next Generation Science Standards NGSS.

⭐ Each standard includes the assessment boundary given from NGSS

⭐ There are three spaces to record a score for each standard per student. You can write the assignment name or type in the space (quiz, project, etc.) provided.

⭐This Google Sheet has the following tabs:

- Instructions

- Example

- Physical Sciences (PS 1-4)

- Life Sciences (LS 1-4)

- Earth and Space Sciences (ESS 1-3)

- Engineering, Technology, and applications of Science (ETS)

⭐ The score will automatically color code out of a total of 4. Simply enter their score in the box (1-4) and watch the color automatically appear!

➊ If a student has not yet mastered the standard (1), the box will turn red. 

➋ If a student is approaching the standard (2), the box will turn yellow. 

➌ If a student has met the standard (3), the box will turn green. 

➍ If a student has exceeded a standard (4), the box will turn blue. 

The color coded boxes are there to give you an at-a-glance view of your students’ understanding, progress of the standards, & what has been covered.

✅ These are digital resources made with Google Sheets. You must have a Google account in order to use. 

This is a perfect resource to showcase during your evaluation. If your school uses the Danielson framework, this can be used in Domain 4 (4cd) for Maintaining Accurate Records
