My Pumpkin Investigation Book

Are you doing a pumpkin investigation with your class? This book is perfect for your students to individually record your class' investigation, along with their own thinking. File includes a right-sized version for the Target Dollar Spot Pumpkin-Shaped Blank Book and a half-sheet version to be copied, stapled and cut in half.

Title - Purpose

Draw it! - Draw a picture of your pumpkin.

Describe it! - Write words to describe what the pumpkin looks like. {Includes traceable sentence stem, “Our Pumpkin is:.”}

Estimate! - Learners can estimate how many seeds they think the pumpkin will have. {Includes traceable sentence stem, “I think our pumpkin will have _______ seeds.”}

Count! - Learners will record how many seeds the pumpkin actually had after all seeds are counted. {Includes traceable sentence stem, “Our pumpkin actually had _______ seeds.”}

Halved Pumpkin Diagram - Learners will cut and paste or write in each part of the halved pumpkin.

Pumpkin Life Cycle - Learners will cut and paste the pumpkin’s life cycle in order.

My Jack-O-Lantern - Learners will design a Jack-o-Lantern they would like to cut out.
